In what was essentially a foregone conclusion Mookie Betts was announced as the AL MVP on Thursday night. In a season which saw the Red Sox win 108 games and cruise through three powerhouses to win the World Series, Mookie Betts was the best player on the best team in baseball. After Thursday night he was officially voted as the best player in the AL and I would strive to say he would win the ML MVP if that were an official award. Congratulations to Mookie. Now if the Red Sox could just agree with him on a new contract…
