On this date in 2014 the Kansas City Chiefs manhandled the New England Patriots to the tune of 41-14 in Arrowhead Stadium, a game which sent shockwaves throughout the NFL and sports media landscape.  “Brady is finished” and “The dynasty is done” were common thoughts heard on the airwaves of every national and local broadcast out there.

It’s a relevant time to bring this up seeing as the Patriots have stumbled to a 1-2 record with the 3-0 division leading Dolphins heading to Gillette on Sunday at a seemingly critical point in the Pats’ season.  Either win or fall 3 games back in the division before October even hits.

Those 2014 Patriots turned the blowout into a learning experience, winning 13 of their next 15 including the Super Bowl in a drama filled tilt with Seattle.  Can the 2018 squad follow suit?  Only time will tell.
